We all express and feel love differently, and understanding those differences can seriously help our relationships. Being aware of your love language, as well as the love language of the people around you, can improve your relationships with a boyfriend/girlfriend, your co-workers, your parents and siblings, and so many more. Kristin Bird will explain how The Five Love Languages can help foster healthy relationships by recognizing your own needs as well us uncovering how to better meet the needs of the other people in your life.

This talk is a great entry point for audiences who are not explicitly religious or are on the fence.  We touch on elements of faith without being explicitly religious.  It is particularly fruitful for those who are in early thresholds of conversion.

Testimonials

  • "I just wanted to say thanks for doing your presentation at the first reconciliation retreat last weekend...It was definitely a better experience than I had anticipated compared to past experiences. What I most enjoyed were the practical tips on incorporating faith into our hectic daily schedules. I will definitely be trying some of them."

  • I’ve been thinking about the witness on your family you shared at the Discipleship Formation Seminar I and I am so thankful that you did. It struck me so profoundly and beautifully, that I am still thinking about it. Your courage and the way you were able to simply be honest really resonated with me and my own family, so thank you. Thank you for being willing to share it because it encouraged me to pursue my own healing. It still has a long way to go, but it’s on its way.

  • My catechists and I really enjoyed your talk on discipleship and catechesis. I think many really did have a few “take-aways” they will be incorporating into their lives and those children and youth they serve.

  • I was born, raised, baptized, and confirmed Catholic, but never experienced much exposure in the Catholic Church to having a one-on-one relationship with God.  I found myself looking elsewhere to get the 'know how' to learn how to do that.  I  am SO pleased that this study emphasized and focused on our personal relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit firmly within a Catholic context.
